Task 10:Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment

It is important to do a risk assessment as it is used to outline any potential hazards to the crew and actors that may occur during filming. It also states what should happen if this risk occurs and what can be done to reduced/avoid the risk overall.

Hazard: Roads
What is the risk: Someone could walk into the road and get hit by a car
Control: All staff and actors should be careful around roads and avoid going into them.

Overall Risk (out of 25):12



Hazard: Cables
What is the risk: Someone could trip over the cables and injure them
Control: Be careful around any cables and watch your step

Hazard: Dolly
What is the risk: Someone using the dolly could injure themselves on it and it is a tripping hazard.
Control: Handle the dolly with care and be responsible when operating it

Hazard: Ladder
What is the risk: Actor could fall off the ladder and hurt themselves
Control: Actor must be responsible whenever they use the ladder to reduce the risk
